Blocked Kick Turns Defensive Momentum
Butch Davis stressed special teams throughout Carolina's month-long training camp. That emphasis paid off in the season opener, as a seemingly insignificant blocked point-after touchdown might have been the defensive turning point for a defense that needed an energy boost.
